Chapter 10 - The Legacy of Grace

Two years later.

The morning sun filtered softly through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the master suite, painting the room in warm shades of gold.

Grace sat on the plush window bench, wrapped in a comfortable cashmere robe, watching the morning light break over the hills. In her arms, she held a four-month-old baby girl with bright blue eyes and a soft tuft of dark hair—her daughter, Lily.

The door opened softly, and Nathaniel walked in carrying two cups of fresh coffee. He set the cups on the table, walked over to Grace, and kissed the top of her head before gently stroking his daughter's soft cheek.

"How is my little girl doing this morning?" Nathaniel asked, his face softening with absolute adoration.

"She's peaceful," Grace smiled, cradling the baby close. "Just watching the sunrise."

Noah ran into the room, wearing his soccer uniform, carrying a sports bag over his shoulder. "Mom! Nathaniel! Coach says I'm starting as captain for today's game!"

"That's incredible, Noah!" Nathaniel smiled, stepping forward to give him a high-five. "I'll be on the front bench with the camera. I wouldn't miss it for the world."

Noah grinned, gave his baby sister a quick kiss on her head, and ran back down the hall toward the kitchen to grab breakfast.

Nathaniel sat beside Grace on the bench, wrapping his arm around her shoulders as they watched Noah play on the lawn below with the family dog.

"Life is good, isn't it?" Nathaniel murmured, resting his chin on Grace's shoulder.

"It is perfect," Grace replied, leaning her head against his chest, listening to the steady, comforting beat of his heart.

She looked down at her right hand—the hand that had once been raw, blistered, and bleeding against cold, unforgiving stone. The subtle scars were still there if one looked closely, but they no longer represented pain or oppression. They were proof of her survival, her unwavering strength, and the incredible journey that had brought her here.

Grace had started as a ghost in the shadows of a billionaire's house, scrubbing floors at 3 AM to survive. But through courage, truth, and an unbroken spirit, she had shattered the dark secrets of the past, saved the man she loved, and built a legacy of warmth, justice, and enduring happiness for her family.
