Chapter 10 - The Architecture of Forever

The wedding of Aara Deir and Cassian Rowe did not take place in a cold, sterile cathedral or at a flashy, ostentatious high-society gala.
Instead, it was held in the sunlit open-air courtyard behind Celin’s Table, canopied by strings of delicate fairy lights, blooming white jasmine, and the warm autumn canopy of Chicago’s old oak trees.
The guest list was a true reflection of their lives: neighborhood friends, trusted team members who had stood by them through every storm, loyal business partners like Julian Vance, and at the very center of it all, Celin Deir—radiant, healthy, and walking steadily without any assistance, her eyes shining with tears of absolute joy as she watched her daughter walk down the aisle.
Aara wore an exquisite, custom-designed ivory gown with subtle geometric lace patterns that paid quiet homage to her architectural roots. As she stepped up to the floral-adorned wooden arch where Cassian stood waiting in a tailored charcoal tuxedo, the evening breeze carried the soft murmur of city life around them like a gentle blessing.
When they exchanged their vows, there were no grand, rehearsed speeches about corporate power or social status. Instead, their words were simple, raw, and unbreakable—pledges of mutual respect, unyielding support, and a love that had proven itself stronger than any adversity.
"Do you, Aara, take this man to be your lifelong partner, your equal, and your sanctuary through every storm?" the officiant asked softly.
Aara looked up into Cassian’s eyes, remembering the cold soda dripping from her collar, the shattered plates, the empty bank accounts, and the dark days of uncertainty—all of which had ultimately led her straight to this exact moment of unshakable peace.
"I do," Aara said, her voice clear, confident, and ringing with absolute joy.
When Cassian slid the platinum band onto her finger, matching the tiny drafting compasses of her engagement ring, the courtyard erupted into warm, thunderous applause and genuine cheers.
Later that evening, as the stars settled over the Chicago skyline and the soft strains of jazz music drifted from the courtyard speakers, Aara stood wrapped securely in Cassian’s arms near the edge of the terrace.
She looked out over the glowing windows of Celin’s Table and down at the ring resting on her hand. The storms of the past were gone, the enemies who had sought to break her had vanished into the shadows of their own making, and the future lay wide open before them—vast, beautiful, and built to last forever.
"Happy?" Cassian whispered against her hair, pressing a gentle kiss to her temple.
May you like
Aara smiled, resting her head against his steady, unyielding chest.
"Perfectly," she whispered back. "Our foundation is set."
