Chapter 10 - The Blooming of the Heart

One year later.

Spring had arrived in New York. The grounds of the Duca estate were a breathtaking ocean of blooming white lilies, winter roses, and vibrant tulips—all planted and nurtured by Olivia and the twins.

The grand courtyard was decorated with white silk banners, crystal chandeliers hanging from the ancient oak trees, and dozens of flower arrangements that sparkled under the warm afternoon sun.

Hundreds of guests were assembled—mafia patriarchs, city councilmen, charity leaders, and local vendors whom Olivia had supported throughout the year.

Standing at the altar near the marble fountain was Gabriel. He looked devastatingly handsome in a tailored black tuxedo, his steel-gray eyes fixed on the back of the garden.

The music began to play—a soft, beautiful melody played by a live string quartet.

First walked Emma and Ella, wearing matching ivory lace dresses with rose wreaths in their hair, scattering white petals along the runner rug with giant, glowing smiles.

And then came Olivia.

She wore a breathtaking off-the-shoulder gown of pure white silk, embroidered with delicate silver lily patterns that caught the sunlight. Her hair fell in soft curls, crowned with a delicate silver tiara. She walked alone, holding her head high, needing no father to give her away—because she belonged entirely to herself, and to the family she had built.

When she reached the altar, Gabriel took both her hands in his.

His hands were warm, strong, and steady—the hands that had lifted her broken cart out of the snow, the hands that had protected her from the storm.

"Olivia," Gabriel whispered, his voice trembling with rare, profound emotion as he looked into her eyes. "One year ago, my life was dark, cold, and quiet. You brought light, color, and love back into this house. You healed my daughters. You healed me. I promise to protect you, respect you, and love you for every breath I have left."

Olivia smiled, tears of pure happiness slipping down her cheeks.

"Gabriel," she answered gently. "I used to think my life was over, that I was a broken flower no one wanted. But you and the girls showed me that the most beautiful flowers bloom after the hardest winter. I give you my heart, my life, and my love, forever."

The priest smiled, raising his hands. "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Gabriel pulled Olivia into his arms, dipping her slightly, and kissed her deeply, passionately, under the warm spring sun.

The crowd erupted into deafening applause and cheers.

Emma and Ella ran forward, jumping up to wrap their arms around their parents' legs, laughing with pure, unbounded joy.
