Chapter 10 - THE FOUR LIVES

Before Leah could even speak, the sound of tiny footsteps came rushing across the wet pavement!

Maya and Ember ran up to the bench, dripping with water from the fountain, their eyes wide as they saw Calder on one knee holding the ring box.

"DADDY!" Maya squealed, jumping up and down. "Are you asking Leah to be our Mommy?!"

"YES!" Ember cheered, hugging Leah around her waist. "SAY YES, MOMMY! SAY YES!"

Leah let out a tearful, joyful laugh, pulling both little girls into her arms before looking down at the billionaire kneeling before her.

"Yes, Calder!" Leah cried out, fresh, happy tears streaming down her cheeks. "Yes! A thousand times yes!"

Calder stood up, sliding the diamond ring onto her finger, pulling Leah into a deep, passionate kiss as the surrounding park visitors broke into warm, enthusiastic applause!

Maya and Ember hugged each other, spinning in circles around the bench, their laughter echoing above the brass carousel music.

Six months later, a grand wedding was held in the gardens of the Rowan Estate.

There were no velvet ropes. There were no VIP lists separating people.

Over three hundred families from the Rowan Foundation community—mothers, children, local social workers, and bakery owners—were invited as honored guests, dining on white tablecloths beside corporate executives and city leaders.

Standing at the altar, wearing a breathtaking white lace gown, Leah held Calder’s hands tightly as they exchanged vows beneath a ceiling of white roses.

Standing beside them as dual flower girls were Maya and Ember, wearing matching white dresses tied with elegant satin ribbons at their waists.

As the priest declared them husband and wife, Calder lifted Leah off her feet, kissing her as the crowd erupted into joyful celebration.

They walked down the aisle together—not as a billionaire and a broke mother, but as two souls who had healed each other's deepest wounds.

Four lives, once broken by loss, poverty, and isolation, were now bound together in an unbreakable ring of love.

And as Leah looked back toward the garden gate, she smiled, knowing that no matter how dark the road might seem, love would always find a way to open the door.
