Chapter 10 - The Unbroken Thread

One year later.

The spring air was warm and sweet as music drifted across the grand lawn of the Vale estate.

A white canopy tent stretched across the green grass, filled with flowers, laughter, and guests. Doctors from the community center, local neighborhood leaders, and even Adrian and his security team were celebrating, enjoying the festive feast under the sunny blue sky.

Hannah stood on the porch of the main house, wearing an exquisite white lace wedding dress that flowed gracefully down to her feet. Her hair was styled in soft, elegant curls, holding a bouquet of white roses and delicate purple sweet peas.

Nicholas walked out onto the porch behind her, wearing an immaculate black tuxedo. He wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, pulling her soft frame back against his chest.

"You look breathtaking, Mrs. Vale," Nicholas whispered against her ear, kissing her cheek.

Hannah smiled, resting her hands over his. "And you look remarkably healthy for a man who used to refuse hospital care."

Nicholas chuckled softly, looking down at her hands.

Woven into the stem of her bridal bouquet was the small, worn silver medallion—the one Hannah had picked up off the dirty basement floor on that frozen Thursday morning.

"Do you ever think about that night?" Hannah asked softly, looking out at the happy crowd on the lawn. "The mistake on my cleaning schedule?"

Nicholas looked down at his wife, his dark eyes filled with absolute love, peace, and eternal devotion.

"It wasn't a mistake, Hannah," Nicholas whispered, turning her gently in his arms and kissing her lips under the warm afternoon sun. "It was the night my life finally began."
