Chapter 6: A Harvest of Joy

One year later.
The grand courtyard of Valle Verde was once again decorated for Easter Sunday. But this time, the atmosphere was completely different. There were no hidden agendas, no cruel whispers, and no arrogant displays of unearned wealth. The air was filled with the joyous laughter of small-town farmers, corporate partners, and true friends who loved Elena for her heart.
Elena stood in front of the full-length mirror in her bridal suite, wearing a magnificent gown of ivory silk and delicate lace. Around her neck sat the same emerald collar, but this time, it didn't look like a weapon of revenge—it looked like a crown of victory.
Carlos Varela walked into the room, his eyes instantly filling with emotional tears as he looked at his daughter. "You are the most beautiful bride this world has ever seen, mija."
"Thank you, Dad," Elena said, hugging him tightly. "Thank you for letting me find my own strength."
"You always had it, Elena. You just needed to let the world see it," he whispered, wiping a tear from his cheek. "Now, come on. A very impatient young man is waiting for you at the altar."
As the live orchestra began to play a beautiful classical melody, Carlos escorted Elena down the long, flower-lined aisle in the grand garden. At the end of the aisle stood Mateo, looking incredibly handsome in a custom charcoal tuxedo. His eyes were locked onto her, shining with a pure, unconditional love that made everything else disappear.
They exchanged their vows under the open, beautiful blue sky, promising to honor, cherish, and build an empire of kindness together. When Mateo slipped the gold wedding band onto her finger, Elena felt a profound sense of absolute completion.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the minister declared.
Mateo pulled her close, sealing their marriage with a passionate, joyful kiss as their guests erupted into thunderous cheers. White rose petals rained down on them like snow under the warm Jalisco sun.

At the reception, as the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the estate, Elena raised her champagne glass to her husband. Far away, the Mendoza family was a forgotten memory, a footnote in a history book she had permanently closed. But here, surrounded by true love, legacy, and an empire built on respect, her true life had just begun.
She looked out at the towering black iron gates in the distance. The Mendozas had come to those gates expecting a spectacle of collapse. But tonight, those same gates held a fortress of love that would never be broken.
