Chapter 10 - A New Sunrise
Six months later, the morning sun broke brightly over the rolling green hills of the city's quiet cemetery. The air was crisp and fresh, smelling of pine and blooming spring flowers.
Ethan stood beside a carved marble headstone that bore the name CLARA LANCASTER. Beside him, holding his hand tightly, was Laya. She wore a bright yellow summer dress and polished white shoes, her dark hair shining in the sunlight.
Ethan knelt beside the headstone and placed a bouquet of fresh white roses on the grass.
"We brought her home, Clara," Ethan whispered softly into the gentle breeze. "She is safe. She is loved."
Laya stepped forward, unclasping the silver bracelet from her wrist. Gently, she laid the sparkling silver band atop the marble headstone, right beside the roses.

Ethan stood up and took Laya's hand in his. Together, father and daughter walked down the hill toward the car, leaving the shadows of the past behind them, ready to step into a bright, warm, and beautiful future together.
