Chapter 7 - A Father's Rage

When Miles arrived at the estate fifteen minutes later, he found fire engines parked along the driveway and his security staff in total disarray.
He smashed his car door shut and ran through the front doors. "Aiden! Lucas!"
"Dad!"
The twins sprinted out from the reinforced panic room in the basement, throwing themselves into his arms, sobbing hysterically.
"Dad, bad men took Marina!" Lucas cried. "She hit one of them to save us!"
Aiden pulled a small piece of torn fabric from his pocket. "She dropped this when they dragged her into the van."
Miles took the fabric. It was expensive tweed—matching the custom suit his lawyer, Sarah Sterling, had worn to work that morning.
A cold, terrifying fury took over Miles' mind. He pulled out his phone and dialed Arthur. "Arthur. Activate the GPS tracker hidden inside the leather pouch Marina always keeps in her dress pocket."
"Tracking now, sir," Arthur replied instantly. "The signal is moving fast toward the old industrial shipping docks on the river. Target is heading for Warehouse 14."

"Assemble every security operative we have," Miles growled, his voice trembling with controlled vengeance. "Call the Chief of Police. Tell him if his officers get in my way, I'll buy his department and fire every single one of them. We are going in."
Miles grabbed his gun from the wall safe, kissed his sons on their foreheads, and looked them in the eye. "Stay with the guards. I am bringing her back."
