Chapter 10 - The Sovereign Queen

Five years after walking out of the Chicago mansion in the rain, Amara stood on the sandy shores of a private estate in Amalfi, wearing a stunning, simple white silk gown.

The Mediterranean breeze rustled the flower arches set up along the beach. Nearby, six-year-old Elena ran through the grass, laughing merrily in a cute floral dress, her hand held by Julian, who was adjusted his navy tuxedo with a warm, joyful smile.

Amara looked at her reflection in the glass door. She was thirty-three now. Her face bore no lines of regret or bitterness—only the glowing beauty of a woman who had reclaimed her destiny, protected her child, and found true, unconditional love.

Julian walked up behind her, gently wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her shoulder.

“Ready, Mrs. Vance?” he whispered near her ear.

Amara turned in his arms, smiling warmly as she looked into the eyes of the man who had respected her, guarded her, and loved her without pretense or ego.

“More than ready,” she answered softly.

They walked down the aisle together toward the water, surrounded by people who loved and respected them for who they were. As they exchanged their vows under the warm Italian sun, Amara knew that her revenge was never truly about destroying Dante Moretti.

Her real revenge had been surviving, thriving, and building a life so full of love, joy, and peace that the shadow of her past could never touch her again.

She had left the mafia king with nothing—and walked away with everything that mattered.
