Six months after the trial, the luxury estate that Ryan had tried to steal was officially demolished. In its place, Northstar Logistics funded the construction of The Lily Foundation Center—a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing shelter, legal aid, and medical care for young mothers escaping abusive relationships.
Emily stood at the podium during the grand opening, the bright autumn sun shining down on her. She looked beautiful, confident, and utterly independent. She had taken over as the director of the foundation, managing it with the same brilliance I knew she possessed.

"Two years ago, I thought the world was a cold, dark place where abusers always win," Emily spoke into the microphone, looking out at the crowd of families and supporters. "But I learned that justice isn't just a word. It’s a shield built by those who love you. This center is a promise that no mother will ever have to stand in the snow alone again."
The crowd erupted in applause. I stood in the back, holding little Lily in my arms. She was nearly a year old now, healthy, laughing, her bright eyes watching her mother with pure adoration.
