Chapter 10 - The Masterpiece of Life

Seven months later. Early summer.

The grounds of the Marblehead estate were blooming with white roses and hydrangeas. The gentle sound of Atlantic waves lapping against the stone cliffside filled the warm afternoon air.

A simple, beautiful outdoor ceremony was being held on the lawn overlooking the sea. There were no mob bosses, no bodyguards in sight, no shadows of the past—only close friends, loyal staff who had become family, and the ocean breeze.

Dante stood at the altar under a canopy of white silk and fresh flowers.

The music began to play, a gentle violin melody. Down the aisle walked Clara, Mia, and Lily, throwing pink rose petals onto the green grass, their faces beaming with unbridled joy.

And then came Elena.

She wore a classic lace wedding dress that flowed around her like sea foam, her dark-blond hair falling in soft curls around her shoulders, holding a simple bouquet of white lilies. Her green eyes were fixed entirely on Dante.

When she reached him, Dante took her hands into his. They didn't need elaborate vows; seven years of separation, endurance, and miraculous reunion had already written their vows in fire and devotion.

"I love you, Dante," she whispered as the minister spoke the final words. "In this life and every life."

"You are my home, Elena," Dante answered, pulling her close. "Always."

When Dante kissed his wife, the three girls let out a collective cheer, jumping up and down and wrapping their arms around their parents' legs. Dante laughed—a clear, ringing, joyful sound that echoed across the ocean water—and lifted all three girls into his arms, pulling Elena tight against his side.

Behind them, propped on an easel near the garden entrance, was a fresh canvas painted by Clara. It showed five figures standing together on a sunny beach, holding hands, with a massive golden sun rising over the horizon.

The darkness was gone. The painting was complete. And their family was finally whole.
