Chapter 3 - Confrontation at the Mansion
Ethan didn't force the children to leave Rosa’s house that night. He knew that forcing them into his SUV would only validate Daniel’s toxic lies.
Instead, he asked Rosa to keep them safe for one more night, promised Noah he would fix everything, and drove back to his mansion in silence.
When he arrived at his house at 10:00 PM, the driveway was packed with luxury sports cars.
Loud music echoed from the poolside terrace. Daniel was holding a glass of scotch, surrounded by six men in expensive suits, laughing and smoking cigars.
Ethan walked straight onto the patio.
"Ethan!" Daniel grinned, turning around with an expansive gesture. "You're back! Guys, this is my older brother, the corporate legend—"
Ethan didn't let him finish. He grabbed Daniel by the collar of his Italian shirt and slammed him against the glass sliding door.
The music stopped instantly. The guests froze.
"Hey! What the hell are you doing?!" Daniel gasped, clutching Ethan’s wrists.
"Get out," Ethan said, his voice terrifyingly quiet.
"Ethan, these are board members from Apex Logistics! We’re negotiating a sub-lease—"
"I said get out," Ethan roared, turning to face the guests. "All of you! Off my property in sixty seconds, or I unleash my legal team and the police for unlawful trespass!"
Scared by the sheer, unbridled fury in Ethan’s eyes, the guests hurriedly gathered their coats and fled down the driveway.
When the last car pulled away, Ethan released Daniel, who slumped against the glass, breathing heavily.
"You lied to my kids," Ethan said, stepping closer. "You told Noah I abandoned him."

Daniel straightened his jacket, trying to regain his arrogant posture. "He’s an overly sensitive kid, Ethan! You were bleeding money on therapists and elite tutors! I saved this company three hundred thousand dollars while you were gone!"
"You didn't save anything," Ethan replied coldly. "You stole from my children's emotional sanctuary. And tomorrow morning, your access to Caldwell Freight is terminated."
