Chapter 10 - The Royal Wedding and Eternity

On a breathtaking Saturday in June—seven years to the exact day since Room 1402—the sun shone brilliant and golden over the rolling green hills of the Winston Private Estate in Long Island.
A massive white silk canopy had been erected over the cliffside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Hundreds of guests sat in white gilded chairs—foreign dignitaries, corporate leaders, foundation directors, and local families from the Brooklyn community centers whom Ivy had personally invited.
Soft orchestral music drifted through the warm summer air.
At the altar stood Brian Winston.
He was breathtakingly handsome in a custom charcoal tuxedo, his dark hair styled perfectly, his posture tall and proud. Beside him stood Harrison as his best man, and six-year-old Daniel, looking like a mini-titan in his tailored tuxedo, holding the velvet ring pillow with intense pride.
The music shifted into a majestic, sweeping symphony.
The audience stood up as one.
Ava walked down the rose-petal-covered aisle first, dressed in a white lace flower-girl dress, tossing pink petals with a giant, beaming smile.
Then came Ivy.
She took everyone’s breath away.
Her wedding gown was a masterpiece of French silk and handmade lace, cascading down her slender frame into a long, dramatic train that swept across the white carpet. A sheer veil covered her face, but through the delicate lace, her hazel eyes shone like bright jewels, fixed entirely on the man waiting for her at the altar.
She walked down the aisle alone—proud, independent, a mother who had conquered the dark and stepped into the light.
When she reached the altar, Brian stepped down to meet her. His hands trembled slightly as he lifted the veil, revealing her radiant, beautiful face.
"You are a miracle," Brian whispered, his gray eyes filling with tears of overwhelming joy.
"You are my home," Ivy whispered back.
The archbishop stood before them, his voice echoing across the silent, ocean-side estate.
"We are gathered here today," the archbishop began, "to unite two souls who were brought together not by chance, but by the undeniable hand of destiny..."
When the time came for the vows, Brian took both of Ivy’s hands in his.
"Ivy," Brian said, his deep voice carrying across the crowd, emotional and clear. "Seven years ago, I was lost in the dark, and you brought me light. For six years, you fought the world alone to protect our children. Today, I swear before God, our family, and the world, that you will never have to fight alone again. I give you my heart, my fortune, my strength, and my life. I am yours, forever."
Ivy wiped a tear from her eye, her smile glowing with pure happiness.
"Brian," Ivy said softly, looking into his eyes. "I used to think that love was something meant for other people—people who didn't have to count pennies for bread. But you showed me that true love is protection, respect, and sacrifice. You gave my children a father, and you gave my heart a home. I love you, Brian. Today, tomorrow, and for all eternity."
"By the power vested in me," the archbishop declared, smiling broadly, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!"
Brian didn't wait a single second. He pulled Ivy into his arms, dipping her slightly as his mouth met hers in a deep, passionate, eternal kiss that set off a deafening roar of cheers and applause from the hundreds of guests.
Daniel and Ava cheered, throwing their arms around their parents' legs as the family embraced under a rain of white rose petals.
Later that evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in glorious shades of pink, purple, and gold, a grand reception took place under a canopy of twinkling fairy lights.
Ivy stood on the private wooden deck overlooking the ocean, holding a glass of sparkling cider, wearing a light reception dress.
Brian walked up behind her, sliding his arms around her waist, resting his head against her neck.
"What are you thinking about, Mrs. Winston?" Brian murmured playfully into her skin.
Ivy smiled, leaning her head back against his shoulder, looking out at their children, who were currently running across the manicured lawn with several other kids, laughing under the twilight sky.
"I’m thinking about six dollars," Ivy whispered softly.
Brian tightened his grip around her, burying his face in her neck. "I promise you, my love... you will never count six dollars again."
May you like
"I know," Ivy turned in his arms, wrapping her hands around his neck, looking into his silver eyes filled with endless devotion. "Because the richest thing I own isn't in your bank accounts, Brian. It’s sitting right here in my arms."
Brian smiled, leaning down to kiss her sweet lips under the starlit New York sky—a poor mother who had conquered a dynasty, a billionaire who had learned to love, and two children who had finally found their home.
