Furious that his plans were failing, Richard Vance grew desperate. With Julian arrested and the public siding with the Carters, Vance resorted to a direct, dangerous escalation.
One afternoon, during a heavy spring rainstorm, a courier delivered a box to the townhouse. It wasn't a bomb, but something psychologically worse—a tracking device that had been planted under Ethan’s car, along with a note detailing Sarah and Lily’s exact daily routine inside the house.
"The security perimeter has been breached," the head of their home security detail reported.
Ethan immediately ordered a complete lockdown. He moved Sarah and Lily to a highly secure, private estate owned by his family in the countryside, miles away from the city. The sudden relocation terrified Lily, who began having nightmares again, reminiscent of their unstable past.
