Chapter 10 - A Beautiful Beginning

Two years later.
The sun was setting over the coastal cliffs of St. Barts, painting the Caribbean sky in brilliant hues of lavender, rose, and burnished gold.
A small, intimate gathering of thirty close friends and family sat on wooden chairs arranged on the soft white sand near the ocean waves.
There were no press, no grand corporate sponsorships, and no extravagant displays of wealth.
At the altar stood Ethan Caldwell, looking exceptionally handsome in a tailored linen suit. Beside him stood his sister Claire, smiling through tears of joy.
Soft acoustic guitar music began to play.
Ethan looked up, his breath catching in his chest.
Walking down the sandy aisle, holding a bouquet of simple wild flowers, was Maya. She wore a stunning, effortless white lace dress, her dark hair falling in soft curls around her shoulders. She wasn't wearing millions of dollars in jewels or demanding perfection from the world.
She was simply looking at Ethan with a love so pure, so deep, and so unshakeable that it filled his entire soul with light.
As she reached the altar, Ethan took her hands in his.
"You look breathtaking," Ethan whispered, his voice trembling with emotion.
"You don't look too bad yourself, Mr. Caldwell," Maya whispered back, her eyes sparkling with laughter and love.
The minister stepped forward, speaking words of love, partnership, and mutual respect.
When the time came for the vows, Ethan pulled a small, hand-written piece of paper from his pocket.
He looked into Maya's eyes, his deep voice carrying over the gentle sound of the ocean waves.
"Maya," Ethan began, his eyes filled with profound emotion. "I spent a long time searching for love in places where only shadows lived. I thought love was something you had to protect, test, or buy. But then you walked into my life, and you showed me that true love isn't found in grand mansions or expensive diamonds."
He reached out, gently caressing her cheek.
"True love is found in kindness. It's found in standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. It's found in two people who see each other's true hearts and choose to build a better world together. You are my home, Maya. You are my truth, my heart, and my greatest blessing."
Tears of pure happiness slipped down Maya’s cheeks as she smiled up at him.
She took his hand, holding it against her heart. "Ethan... I love you not for your title, your wealth, or your estate. I love you because you are the man who swept floors in the dark just to make sure the world was treated fairly. I love you for your courageous heart, your gentle soul, and the way you make every day brighter. I promise to stand by you, honor you, and love you through every season of our lives."
"By the power vested in me," the minister announced with a radiant smile, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. Ethan, you may kiss your bride!"
Ethan pulled Maya close, his arms wrapping around her waist as he pulled her into a deep, passionate, and joyful kiss beneath the golden Caribbean sunset.
The small crowd erupted into cheers and applause, waving their hands as the ocean breeze carried their laughter into the evening sky.
Ethan pulled back, looking down at his new wife—a woman who loved him for the man he was beneath every mask, every title, and every dollar.

He smiled, squeezing her hand tightly as they turned to face their family and friends together.
The starving housekeeper in the mansion had vanished forever—replaced by a man who had finally found the greatest, richest treasure in the entire world: a true, unshakeable, and everlasting love.
