Chapter 10 - The Unbreakable Bond

One year later.
The grand gardens of the Moretti estate were decorated with thousands of white roses and flowing silk ribbons.
Soft violin music floated across the lawn, where hundreds of guests—friends, loyal associates, and reformed family members—were gathered in celebration.
I stood before a floral arch overlooking the sparkling blue waters of Lake Michigan, wearing a breathtaking lace wedding gown that flowed around me like seafoam.
Beside me stood Dominic, looking impossibly handsome in a tailored black tuxedo, his eyes fixed on me with a love so intense it set my heart on fire.
Standing beside us was Marco, proudly holding one-year-old Mateo, who was dressed in a miniature matching tuxedo, clapping his little hands happily as the priest spoke the final blessing.
"By the power vested in me," the priest announced with a warm smile, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. Dominic, you may kiss your bride."
Dominic stepped forward, wrapping his broad arms around my waist, lifting me slightly off my feet as he pressed his lips against mine in a long, tender, and triumphant kiss.
The entire garden erupted into roaring applause and cheers.
Dominic pulled back, resting his forehead against mine, a radiant, beautiful smile lighting up his dark features.
"I love you, Mrs. Moretti," Dominic whispered softly against my lips.
"I love you, Mr. Moretti," I replied, my heart overflowing with absolute happiness.
We turned together to face our guests, holding hands. Marco stepped forward, handing little Mateo into my arms.
I held our son close against my chest, feeling his warm, steady heartbeat pressed against mine, while Dominic wrapped his arm around my shoulders, shielding us both with his strength.
Four years ago, I thought my life had ended in a cold hospital room. I thought grief was the only thing I had left.
But standing here today in the bright sunlight, surrounded by love, strength, and family, I knew the absolute truth:

Love doesn't erase the scars of your past. It builds something beautiful over them.
And as I looked into the eyes of my husband and our son, I knew that our family’s foundation was built on something far stronger than power or fear—it was built on an unbreakable, everlasting love.
