Chapter 10 - The Unshakeable Peace

Six months later.
The morning sun rose brightly over the Florida coastline, casting brilliant golden light across the floor-to-ceiling windows of my top-floor executive suite at Vance Forensic Analytics.
The firm had just reported its most profitable quarter in history. Our international reputation was untouchable, and my legal team had officially secured a court order restoring my complete, sole ownership of the firm.
I stood by the window, holding a hot cup of black coffee, watching the city below hustle and bustle with energy.
My phone on the desk chimed with a text notification. I walked over and picked it up.
It was an alert from my banking app: RECURRING MONTHLY ACCOUNT STATEMENT AVAILABLE.
I unlocked the screen with my thumbprint, looking at the financial summaries, the secure investments, and the vast reserves resting safely under my name.
No unauthorized charges. No missing millions. No lies.
I walked out onto the private balcony of my office, feeling the warm, fresh ocean breeze wash over my face. The betrayal that was supposed to destroy my life, ruin my reputation, and lock me away in a prison cell had instead stripped away every fake person, every hidden enemy, and every piece of dead weight I had been carrying for twenty-five years.
