Chapter 10 - The True Victory

Three years later.

The sun was setting over the private coast of Monaco, painting the sky in brilliant shades of gold, pink, and purple. A beautiful white villa overlooked the crystal-clear Mediterranean sea, surrounded by blooming jasmine and olive trees.

A grand celebration was taking place. It wasn't a corporate gala filled with flashing cameras and fake smiles. It was a private wedding, attended only by true friends and family who loved them.

Elle stood in front of a flower-covered altar, wearing a simple, breathtaking white lace gown. She looked radiant, her heart overflowing with a happiness she had never thought possible. Opposite her stood Marcus, looking incredibly handsome in a sharp tuxedo, his eyes shining with tears of joy as he looked at his bride.

Liam and Maya, now beautiful three-year-old toddlers, ran through the grass, laughing as they threw flower petals into the air. They were safe, loved, and surrounded by a real family.

"Elena," Marcus said, taking her hands in his, his voice deep and steady. "From the moment I met you, I saw a strength that inspired me. You faced the darkest storms and rebuilt your world with grace. I promise to stand by you, to protect you, and to love you and our children with everything I have, for the rest of my days."

Elle smiled, a tear of pure happiness escaping her eye. "Marcus, you showed me what true strength and kindness look like. You loved me when I was healing, and you built a fortress of peace for our family. I am proud to be your partner, your wife, and your equal."

The priest smiled and announced, "I now pronounce you husband and wife."

Marcus leaned in and kissed her passionately as the small crowd erupted into cheers and applause.

Later that evening, as the guests were dancing beneath the stars, Elle walked to the edge of the terrace, looking out over the endless ocean. The cool sea breeze swept through her hair, and she felt a deep, unshakeable sense of peace.

She had started this journey as a broken, exhausted mother, discarded in a dark hallway by a man who thought she was nothing. But she had realized that her power didn't come from her billions, or her company, or her status. Her power came from her heart—her capacity to endure, to love, and to rise above the cruelty of others.

Marcus walked up behind her, wrapping his strong arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder. "What are you thinking about, Mrs. Vance-Rothschild?" he whispered.

Elle leaned back against his chest, watching their children laugh in the distance.

"I'm thinking that the best revenge isn't destroying your enemies," Elle said softly, a beautiful, genuine smile lighting up her face. "The best revenge is living a life so beautiful, so full of love, that they become nothing more than a forgotten shadow in your past."

And as the music played on into the perfect night, Elle knew her victory was finally complete.
