Chapter 10 - A Radiant Tomorrow

As the evening sun began to set, painting the Connecticut sky in vibrant hues of gold, pink, and deep purple, the family walked down to the edge of the estate's private lake.
Lily ran ahead, chasing fireflies through the high grass, her golden laughter echoing across the calm water.
Edward stood with his arm wrapped around Claire's shoulders, watching the little girl play.
"Do you ever think about that rainy afternoon in October?" Claire asked softly, leaning her head against her father's shoulder.
"Every day," Edward replied gently. "It was the day I realized that all the wealth in the world is completely meaningless without the people you love. I spent sixty years building towers to reach the sky, Claire, but you and Lily taught me how to put my feet back on the ground."
Lily came running back to them, holding a tiny, glowing firefly gently cupped inside her hands. "Grandpa! Mommy! Look! I caught a star!"
Edward knelt down, wrapping his arms around both his daughter and his granddaughter, pulling them close against his chest.

"You didn't catch a star, sweet girl," Edward whispered, his voice filled with endless love as he looked out at the glowing horizon. "You brought the light back into our lives."
Under the quiet, star-filled sky, surrounded by the warm embrace of his family, the old billionaire finally found the peace he had spent a lifetime searching for—a home built on forgiveness, love, and a promise that would last forever.
