Chapter 10 - The Dawn in Coyoacán (A Happy Ending)One year later.

The old Aranda mansion in Las Lomas de Chapultepec had been permanently sold. The dark, cold house that had caused so much pain was demolished, and the land was donated to the city to build a public children’s park.

Alejandro and Valeria had purchased a beautiful, sunlit hacienda in the heart of Coyoacán. The house was filled with warmth, high arched ceilings, vibrant gardens of bougainvillea, and the constant sound of art, music, and laughter.

It was a warm Sunday morning.

Inside the sunlit master bedroom, light streamed through open French doors that led to a private courtyard garden.

Valeria lay in the center of a wide, comfortable bed wrapped in soft white linen. Beside her sat Alejandro, wearing a casual linen shirt, holding a wooden spoon as he fed her fresh strawberries and cream.

In a wooden cradle beside the bed lay ten-month-old Mateo Fernando Aranda—a healthy, chubby baby boy with dark hair and bright, curious eyes, gurgling happily as he played with a wooden rattle.

"He looks just like you when he smiles," Valeria said softly, reaching over to stroke her son’s soft cheek.

"He has your eyes, thank God," Alejandro chuckled, setting the bowl down and leaning over to kiss her forehead. "Otherwise he'd be far too stubborn."

A warm breeze blew through the open doors, carrying the sweet scent of jasmine and orange blossoms from the garden.

There were no whispers in the hallways. No poison in the tea. No cold, cruel eyes judging her worth.

Alejandro climbed into bed beside her, pulling his wife and his son close into a warm, protective embrace.

"What are you thinking about?" Valeria asked gently, laying her head against his chest, listening to the calm, steady beat of his heart.

Alejandro looked out at the sunlit garden where his life had been rebuilt from the ashes.

"I’m thinking about that morning three days after you locked yourself away," Alejandro whispered softly. "When I ripped that blanket away in a rage, looking for a secret."

Valeria looked up at him, a gentle smile touching her lips. "And what did you find?"

Alejandro kissed her lips—a deep, tender kiss filled with a lifetime of love, devotion, and peace.

"I found the truth," Alejandro said gently. "And the truth gave me my family back."

Outside, little Mateo let out a bright, joyous laugh as the morning sun illuminated the room, washing away the shadows forever.
