Chapter 10 - The Brightest Tomorrow

One year later.
The estate’s sprawling gardens were filled with hundreds of white roses, soft string quartet music, and warm summer sunlight.
A small, intimate gathering of true friends, rehabilitated family members, and foundation staff sat under the clear blue sky.
At the end of the floral aisle stood Alessandro, looking dashing in a dark blue tuxedo.
The music shifted to a sweet, joyful melody.
Walking down the aisle, wearing a tiny white dress and carrying a basket of pink rose petals, was four-year-old Emma, beaming with pride as the official flower girl.
Behind her came Sophia, looking breathtakingly beautiful in a simple, elegant ivory silk gown, holding a bouquet of white lilies. Her face was radiant with love, freedom, and strength.
When she reached the altar, Alessandro took her hands in his, his heart full.
"Do you, Alessandro Moretti, take Sophia Carter to be your wedded wife, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live?" the minister asked.
"I do," Alessandro spoke with absolute conviction.
"And do you, Sophia, take Alessandro to be your wedded husband?"
"I do," Sophia whispered, her voice filled with joyful emotion.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife!"
Alessandro pulled Sophia into his arms, kissing her passionately under the warm sun as the guests erupted into joyful applause.

Emma ran up to them, pulling on Alessandro’s jacket. Alessandro laughed, picking his new daughter up in one arm and holding his wife with the other.
Looking out at the bright horizon, Alessandro knew that the dark world of shadows was behind him forever. He had found his true strength—not in guns, money, or fear—but in the unbreakable love of his family.
