Chapter 9 - The Fall of the Traitors

Captain Dominick, the oldest and most respected lieutenant in the family, plugged the drive into his tablet. Within seconds, his face darkened with unbridled fury.

"She sold us out," Dominick growled, looking up at Margaret. "She was setting up our entire organization to be liquidated by Delaney."

"It's a lie!" Margaret screamed, aiming her pistol directly at Gabriel's chest. "He's trying to destroy us!"

Before Margaret could pull the trigger, Marcus Delaney—realizing the game was completely lost—tried to slip out through the side exit.

Sam stepped into his path, swinging his heavy iron wrench with terrifying precision, knocking Delaney to the floor and disarming him instantly.

At the altar, Dominick stepped forward and cold-bloodedly struck the gun from Margaret’s hand, forcing her to her knees on the cold marble floor.

"What do we do with them, Boss?" Dominick asked, turning to Gabriel with renewed respect.

Gabriel looked down at his aunt, his eyes devoid of hatred, filled only with cold, absolute authority.

"Call the federal prosecutors," Gabriel commanded smoothly. "Hand over Delaney and Margaret, along with all the evidence of their embezzlement and smuggling. We are washing our hands of their corruption today."

The captains looked at each other in shock. Handing family members over to the law was unheard of in their world.

"We are changing how this family operates," Gabriel said, his voice firm and uncompromising. "The old ways die tonight. Anyone who doesn't like it can hand in their badge and walk away right now."

Not a single captain moved. They bowed their heads in silent submission to their true leader.
