Chapter 3 - The Transformation

The next three days were a whirlwind of intense preparation, tactical training, and undeniable, simmering tension.
Nico brought in high-tech surveillance gear, voice-cloning devices, and compact digital scanners disguised as fine jewelry. While Sienna spent hours memorizing the floor plans of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the security protocols of Holloway’s private security detail, Damian personally oversaw her transformation.
On Thursday evening, a team of elite Italian stylists arrived at the penthouse under strict non-disclosure agreements.
Sienna stood in front of the grand mirror in the master dressing room. The worn black clothes and tied-back hair were gone. In their place stood a woman who looked like she belonged on the cover of a luxury magazine. She wore a backless, emerald-green silk gown that clung to her curves like liquid glass, slitted high up her left thigh. Her natural chestnut curls had been restored to luxurious, soft waves cascading down her shoulders. Around her neck hung a delicate platinum choker—which concealed a high-frequency frequency jammer.
The door behind her opened softly. Damian walked in, wearing a bespoke black tuxedo that highlighted his broad shoulders and commanding posture.
He stopped dead in his tracks.
For five long seconds, the powerful CEO who always had an answer for everything was completely speechless. His eyes traveled slowly from the hem of her gown up to her radiant, fierce eyes.
"Is something wrong?" Sienna asked, a faint, teasing smile touching her lips. "Does the ghost not clean up well?"
Damian walked up behind her, his reflection standing tall beside hers in the mirror. He rested his hands gently on her waist, his touch warm and heavy through the silk.
"You look stunning, Sienna," he whispered near her ear, his voice lower and rasper than usual. "Holloway won't know what hit him."
Sienna turned in his arms, her chest almost touching his. The proximity was intoxicating. Over the past seventy-two hours, the boundary between business partners and something far deeper had begun to blur. She felt the steady beat of his heart under his tuxedo jacket, saw the raw hunger in his eyes that had nothing to do with revenge.
"Damian," she murmured softly.
"Yes?"
"If this goes wrong on Saturday..."
"It won't," Damian promised fiercely, his hand moving up to cup her jaw gently. "I won't let anyone hurt you, Sienna. Not Holloway. Not the syndicate. No one."

Before she could answer, his lips met hers in a deep, electric kiss that made the rest of the world vanish. It was intense, desperate, and filled with a shared passion forged in the fires of vengeance. When he finally pulled back, both of them were breathing heavily.
"Now," Damian said, offering her his arm, his eyes dark with promise. "Let's go ruin a monster."
