Chapter 9 - The Birth of Hope

One month later, inside the birthing suite of Santa Teresa Hospital, the quiet room was broken by a clear, healthy, powerful cry.
"It's a girl!" the doctor announced, smiling as he wrapped the newborn infant in a soft pink blanket.
Alejandro sat by Valeria’s side, tears streaming down his face as he watched the nurse place their daughter onto Valeria’s chest.
Valeria wept tears of pure relief and joy, her skin restored, her spirit invincible. She held the tiny baby close to her heart, feeling the warm, steady breathing of new life.
"She's perfect, Alejandro," Valeria whispered softly. "She's so perfect."

Valeria looked up at her husband, her eyes shining with love and deep peace. "Lucía. Because she brought light into our darkest night."
