Gabriel reached down, taking her hand gently and pulling her up from the swing.
He pulled a small velvet box from his pocket and opened it, revealing a breathtaking cushion-cut diamond ring that caught the morning sunlight.
"Because I don't want a nanny for my sons anymore, Emma," Gabriel said softly, his dark eyes filled with a deep, endless warmth. "I want a mother for them. And I want a wife for myself."
Emma stared at the ring, then at Gabriel, tears of happiness welling in her eyes. "Gabriel... are you breaking another rule?"
"I am breaking every rule I ever made," Gabriel whispered, slipping the ring onto her finger and pulling her close. "Isabella knew what she was doing when she left that rope for you to find. She knew I needed a miracle."
"Daddy! Emma!"
The triplets came running across the lawn, tumbling into them, wrapping their arms around Gabriel and Emma’s legs.

Gabriel laughed aloud—a bright, breathless sound that echoed through the entire estate, sounding remarkably like the life and joy that had finally returned to stay. He knelt down, scooping all three boys and Emma into one massive, warm embrace under the bright morning sky.
The darkness was gone. The promises were kept. And the Moretti family was finally whole.
