Chapter 6 - The Siege of Moretti Estate
At 11:35 PM, thunder roared across the New York sky, drowning out the sound of heavy boots marching across the estate garden.
Inside the darkened house, Mr. Pierce walked quietly down the marble corridor toward the main electrical panel. He pulled out a key, unlocked the box, and threw the main breaker.
The entire mansion plunged into pitch-black darkness.
Pierce smirked, pulling out his silenced pistol and turning toward the kitchen doors. "Rest in peace, Mr. Moretti," he whispered to himself.
"I wouldn't count on it, Pierce."
A blinding beam of flashlight hit Pierce directly in the face.
Before he could react, Gabriel stepped out of the darkness, striking Pierce’s wrist with swift, brutal force. The gun clattered to the floor, and Gabriel’s heavy fist slammed into Pierce’s jaw, sending the traitor crashing against the marble island.
"You sold my wife to the Vances," Gabriel growled, pinning Pierce to the floor with a heavy boot on his chest. "You poisoned her vehicle’s steering system."
Pierce gasped for air, blood pouring from his mouth, but he sneered maliciously. "It's too late, Moretti! Victor Vance’s men are already inside! You're dead!"
