Chapter 8 - The Boardroom Siege

The grand boardroom on the 40th floor of Robles Tower was packed.

Around the giant glass table sat the powerful board members of Robles Construction, dressed in dark suits, speaking in hushed, nervous tones. At the head of the table sat Doña Teresa, looking radiant and cold, flanked by attorney Raúl Garza and Eduardo Navarro—Alejandro’s arrogant corporate rival.

The heavy double oak doors swung open.

Alejandro walked into the room. He wore a sharp charcoal suit, his posture tall, relaxed, and commanding. He carried no briefcase, no notes, and no legal team. He was entirely alone.

Teresa smirked triumphantly, resting her hands on the table. “You’re late, Alejandro.”

“I’m right on time,” Alejandro said smoothly, taking a seat at the far end of the long glass table, facing them directly.

Eduardo Navarro leaned forward, flashing a fake smile. “Alejandro, let’s not prolong this painful affair. In light of your recent… personal disruptions, erratic public behavior at your mother’s birthday, and obvious emotional instability, the board has convened an emergency vote.”

“Is that so?” Alejandro asked casually, resting his chin on his steepled fingers.

Raúl Garza stood up, adjusting his coat. “As representative of fifty-one percent of the combined voting stock—held by Doña Teresa Robles and Navarro Holdings—we hereby move to immediately terminate Alejandro Robles as Chief Executive Officer and strip him of all voting rights effective immediately.”

A heavy murmur washed over the remaining neutral board members.

Teresa looked at her son with cold, victorious eyes. “You lost, Alejandro. You should have stayed in your place. You gave up your power for a peasant girl and a street child.”

Alejandro didn't flinch. In fact, a faint, terrifying smile appeared on his lips.

“Are you finished?” Alejandro asked softly.

Garza frowned. “What?”

Alejandro tapped a button on the conference table control panel.

The wall-mounted high-definition screens flared to life. Suddenly, high-resolution banking records, wire transfer logs, and forged shell-company documents covered the screens. Bold red highlighting marked every illegal transaction made between Teresa’s shell accounts and Raúl Garza’s law firm.

The board members gasped. Navarro shifted uncomfortably in his seat, looking shocked.

“What is this garbage?” Teresa demanded, turning pale.

“That,” Alejandro explained calmly, “is the forty million dollars you, Raúl Garza, and Eduardo Navarro stole from this company over the past six years.”

“That’s a lie! It’s fabricated!” Garza yelled, his slick demeanor instantly shattering into panic.

“I didn't fabricate it,” Alejandro replied coldly. “The Federal Forensic Audit Unit did. They’ve spent the last forty-eight hours reviewing every offshore transaction.”

Before Garza or Teresa could speak, the heavy boardroom doors were pushed open again.

Six federal police officers in black tactical vests stormed into the room, accompanied by the Assistant District Attorney of Mexico City.

“Raúl Garza! Teresa Robles! Eduardo Navarro!” the DA announced loudly, unrolling an official warrant. “You are under arrest for grand embezzlement, wire fraud, criminal conspiracy, corporate treason, and extortion!”

“What?!” Teresa screamed, leaping out of her chair, her face contorting in terror. “Do you know who I am? You can’t touch me! Alejandro, tell them! Tell them to stop!”

Alejandro stood up slowly, looking down at his mother from across the room.

“I told you, Teresa,” Alejandro said, his voice ringing with absolute finality. “You built an empire of lies. Today, it collapses.”

Garza, realizing his life was over, suddenly lost his mind. He pulled a silver revolver from inside his leather jacket, pointing it directly at Alejandro’s chest!

“You ruined everything, you bastard!” Garza screamed, his eyes wild with desperation.

The room erupted into frantic shrieks as board members dove under the table.

Alejandro didn't even blink. Before Garza could pull the trigger, the head of Alejandro’s private security team—who had stepped silently behind Garza—grabbed Garza’s wrist, twisting it sharply upward.

A loud shot echoed, shattering a glass light fixture above, before the security officer slammed Garza brutally onto the glass boardroom table, disarming him instantly and pulling his arms behind his back in iron cuffs.

Teresa watched in absolute horror as her high-priced lawyer was dragged away screaming onto the floor.

The police officers stepped up to Teresa, pulling her hands behind her back and snapping steel handcuffs around her wrists.

“Alejandro! My son! Please!” Teresa cried out, her majestic facade entirely destroyed as she began weeping hysterically. “I am your mother! You can’t let them take me to prison! Think of the family name!”

Alejandro walked over to her, stopping inches away. He looked into the eyes of the woman who had tormented his wife and left his little girl to eat from the trash.

“The Robles family name will be fine,” Alejandro whispered coldly. “Because starting today, it belongs to my wife and daughter. Take her away.”
