Chapter 9 - The Family Portrait

Three months later.
Autumn had arrived in Pittsburgh, turning the rolling hills into a breathtaking canvas of red, gold, and amber leaves.
The grand courtyard of Calder House was filled with hundreds of white folding chairs, an aisle lined with yellow autumn leaves, and a stunning floral arch made of white hydrangeas and dark red roses.
It was the wedding of the century.
Politicians, local community leaders, charity directors, and former associates sat side by side in complete, harmonious celebration.
At the front of the altar stood Vincent, wearing an immaculate black tuxedo, his jaw clean-shaven, looking happier and more handsome than he had ever been in his life. Standing beside him as his best man was Frank, wearing a matching tux, smiling broadly.
The music shifted into a majestic orchestral melody.
Sophie walked down the aisle first, wearing a white lace dress, scattering red rose petals from a small silver basket, grinning broadly at the guests.
And then... came Elena.
The entire audience stood up, catching their collective breath.
Elena walked down the aisle on the arm of her elderly uncle, wearing a breathtaking, custom ivory lace gown with a long, sweeping train and a delicate veil floating behind her. She held a bouquet of white roses, her dark eyes locked entirely on the man standing at the end of the platform.
Vincent stared at his bride, his chest heaving, tears of pure joy shining in his grey eyes. When she reached the altar, he took her hand from her uncle, leaning down to whisper softly:
"You are the most beautiful sight in the universe, my love."
"And you are mine," Elena whispered back, her heart soaring into the clear blue sky.
The vows were spoken under the golden autumn trees—vows of eternal loyalty, unyielding protection, and boundless love.
"By the power vested in me," the officiant declared with a wide smile, "I now pronounce you husband and wife! Vincent, you may kiss your bride!"
Vincent pulled Elena into his arms, dipping her slightly as he kissed her with a deep, passionate intensity that made the entire crowd erupt into thunderous cheers, applause, and whistles.

Sophie ran up to them, wrapping her small arms around both of their legs, laughing with pure glee.
Vincent picked up his new daughter in one arm, holding his new wife tightly with the other, looking at the cheering crowd with a radiant, triumphant smile—a complete family, bound forever in love.
