Chapter 8 - The Hidden Threat

The peace was fragile. Marco, Alessandro's brother, began to align himself with the rival families. He didn't want to kill Matteo anymore; he wanted to control the family by controlling the doctor who could keep the heir alive.

He started by sabotaging my personal life. My friends, my old coworkers—they were threatened. He wanted to isolate me.
