Chapter 5 - The Pool House Eviction

The morning dew was still fresh on the grass as two armed security officers unlocked the glass sliding doors of the estate pool house.

Evelyn, Tristan, and Sienna stumbled out onto the patio. They looked utterly ruined. Evelyn’s expensive silk gown was wrinkled, her diamond necklace was crooked, and her eyes were bloodshot from a night without sleep. Tristan’s tuxedo jacket was missing, his shirt unbuttoned, while Sienna cowered behind their mother, clutching her designer handbag like a security blanket.

I stood near the edge of the swimming pool, wearing a fresh dark suit, holding a silver tray with four glasses of ice water.

"Good morning, family," I said smoothly.

"Julian!" Evelyn screamed, marching toward me, her high heels clicking furiously against the stone tiles. "This is kidnapping! This is illegal restraint! I am your mother! I am going to call the police, I am going to call the press, and I am going to ruin you!"

"You can't call anyone, Mom," I said, gesturing to the four security guards standing behind her. "Because as of seven AM today, this entire estate—including the pool house, the main mansion, the garage, and the land—has been legally transferred into an irrevocable private trust."

Tristan narrowed his eyes, his face flushed with anger. "What trust?!"

"The Clara Vance Protection Trust," I revealed with a cold, triumphant smile. "I signed the master deed transfers an hour ago. Every single physical asset I own in this state now belongs entirely to Clara. I am merely the corporate manager."

Evelyn gasped, clutching her chest. "You... you gave our family home to that beggar?!"

"It was never your family home, Evelyn," I corrected sharply. "You didn't contribute a single cent to its purchase. Clara and I bought this land when it was nothing but dirt and weeds."

I signaled to Marcus. Two security officers stepped forward, carrying three large, clear plastic trash bags.

"What is that?" Sienna whimpered, backing away.

"Those are your personal belongings," Marcus announced firmly. "We gave your personal assistants fifteen minutes to pack your basic clothing from the guest rooms. All jewelry, designer bags, watches, and furs purchased using Vance Global corporate accounts over the past eight months have been confiscated as evidence of corporate embezzlement."

"My diamonds!" Evelyn shrieked, rushing toward Marcus. "Those are mine! Julian bought those for me!"

"Julian's company paid for them, Evelyn," I interjected, stepping between her and Marcus. "And since you forged signatures to access those corporate funds, those diamonds are now Exhibit A in a federal grand larceny investigation."

Tristan stepped up, trying to look menacing. "You think you've won, Julian? Don Emilio’s legal team is going to destroy you in court today! We signed the Cayman share agreements yesterday afternoon!"

I pulled my phone from my pocket, unlocked the screen, and played a fresh audio recording.

Dr. Sterling’s voice echoed clearly through the outdoor patio speaker: "Tristan paid me fifty thousand dollars in cash to drug Clara... he said they were preparing to sell forty percent of Vance Global’s real estate holdings to Don Emilio..."

Tristan’s face went instantly, deathly pale. His jaw worked silently, but no words came out.

"Don Emilio was arrested at his penthouse forty-five minutes ago by federal agents, Tristan," I said softly, setting the phone back in my pocket. "He’s currently being processed for money laundering and racketeering. And he’s already offered to cooperate with the prosecutor in exchange for a reduced sentence."

Evelyn stumbled back, her knees buckling until she collapsed onto an outdoor lounge chair, weeping hysterical, bitter tears.

"Now," I said, looking at the three of them with complete, absolute indifference. "You have five minutes to take your trash bags and walk out through the front gates. If you are still on this property in six minutes, Marcus will have you arrested for criminal trespass."

"Julian... please..." Sienna sobbed, dropping to her knees on the stone patio, reaching toward my boots. "I'm your sister! I was just doing what Mom told me to do! Please don't throw me out! I don't have anywhere to go!"

I looked down at Sienna—the sister who had laughed while Clara scrubbed greasy pots on her hands and knees in the back kitchen.

May you like

"You should have thought about where you were going to live before you treated my wife like a slave in her own home, Sienna," I said coldly.

I turned on my heel and walked toward the main mansion, leaving the three of them screaming, weeping, and clutching their plastic trash bags as security escorted them down the long driveway toward the locked iron gates.
