Chapter 7 - Reclaiming the Truth

Over the next year, I threw myself into rebuilding the company from the ground up.

First, I officially dissolved the name Monroe Wellness Group. Every sign, every piece of stationery, every website was scrubbed clean. In its place rose Ellison Medical Research & Recovery Centers.

We recalled every single recovery machine manufactured during Graham’s tenure. My engineering team and I worked eighty-hour weeks to retrofit every unit, replacing the cheap components with high-grade, certified safety systems designed according to my father’s original, uncompromising specifications.

We located the fourteen patients who had been injured by Graham’s negligence and paid out full, generous settlements from the company’s new capital fund, covering all their medical bills and providing lifelong care guarantees.

I held a public press conference in front of our flagship clinic in Manhattan to announce our reopening.

"My father believed that medicine was not an industry designed to build personal empires," I told the crowd of reporters and medical professionals. "He believed medicine was a sacred trust between those who invent and those who heal. For too long, this company was used to fuel arrogance and greed. Today, we restore the trust."

The applause that followed was genuine, warm, and overwhelming.

Among the crowd, standing at the back, was my mother. She had cried tears of joy when I handed her the key to the new headquarters. For six years, she had carried the shame of my humiliating divorce and my father’s stolen work. Now, she held her head high, proud to be a part of the Ellison name once more.
