Chapter 10 - The Dawn of a New Empire

The grand ballroom of the Richmond Luxury Hotel was filled with light, laughter, and the soft clinking of champagne glasses.

It was the annual Langford Global Gala, a celebration of the company's rebranding and its new philanthropic foundation, which focused on supporting survivors of domestic abuse.

I stood in the center of the room, wearing an elegant emerald-green gown. People lined up to speak with me, to shake my hand, and to offer their congratulations.

My father stood beside me, a glass of champagne in his hand, looking at me with absolute pride.

"To Vivian," he said, raising his glass to the room. "The true heart and mind behind the Langford empire."

The crowd cheered, and I smiled, raising my glass.

As the music began to play, I stepped out onto the terrace to take a breath of the cool night air. The city lights stretched out before me, bright and endless.

I was no longer a shadow. I was no longer a victim.

I had survived the storm, and in doing so, I had claimed my own empire. And this time, nobody could ever take it away from me.
