"It's worse than we thought, Vivian," my father said, walking in with two cups of coffee. He handed one to me and sat down. "Derek wasn't just using corporate accounts for personal luxuries. He was actively funnelling money into dummy corporations."

I took a sip of my coffee, feeling a cold determination settle over me. "That’s wire fraud and money laundering."

"I spent eight years playing the dutiful, silent wife, Dad," I said, looking out the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city. "I let him believe he was a genius because I wanted him to succeed. But now? I want him to see exactly what happens when the woman who built him decides to dismantle him."
