"Apex isn't just an investment firm," Clara explained, her voice steady now after spending three days in the center's safe house. "They operate an illegal debt-collection syndicate known as Ironclad Asset Management. They identify high-net-worth women undergoing bitter divorces or legal battles, acquire their personal debt through falsified affidavits, and then force them into signing over their real estate holdings."

Sophia leaned back, tapping a red pen against her chin. "And how does Victoria Vance tie into this?"

"Victoria was Ironclad’s chief advisor before her arrest," Clara revealed. "She used her social circle in Chicago and New York to feed names of vulnerable women directly to Apex. In exchange, Apex laundered her personal funds into offshore accounts in Panama."

Audrey stood up, walking over to the whiteboard. She picked up a marker and drew a line connecting Apex Financial, Ironclad Management, and Victoria Vance’s offshore accounts.

"When Victoria was convicted," Audrey analyzed, "the court ordered all her frozen assets to be liquidated to pay restitution to her victims. But Apex hid fifteen million dollars in a blind trust registered under Paige’s name before the trial ended."

Sophia gasped. "Paige? The junior night-shift receptionist?"

"Paige thought she was getting a cut of the money," Clara nodded. "But Apex duped her. They used her signature to set up the trust, making her legally liable for the fraud while they held the actual private keys."

"Which means," Audrey realized, her eyes sparkling with sharp intellect, "Paige didn't just lose her civil lawsuit... she’s sitting on top of a massive federal fraud scheme without even knowing it."

Alexander walked into the room holding three cups of coffee. He set one down in front of Audrey, his eyes full of admiration. "I take it you ladies just solved the case?"

"We didn't just solve it, Dr. Reed," Sophia grinned wickedly. "We just found the lever to dismantle Apex Financial once and for all."

"What’s the move, Audrey?" Alexander asked, resting a supportive hand on her chair.

Audrey turned to Sophia. "We file a federal Class Action lawsuit under the RICO Act tomorrow morning on behalf of Clara Sterling and thirty-two other victimized women. We subpoena Paige’s financial records, seize the Panama blind trust, and restore every stolen dollar to the victims."
