The private coastal estate in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, was bathed in the soft, golden light of late afternoon.
The Pacific Ocean sparkled beneath a clear blue sky, waves gently crashing against the dramatic cliffside rocks. A wooden arbor covered in white roses, eucalyptus, and ocean lilies stood at the edge of the cliff overlooking the vast horizon.
Soft violin music floated through the warm sea breeze.
Alexander stood at the altar wearing a dark navy bespoke tuxedo. His face was lit with an overwhelming, breathless joy as he watched the aisle.
Walking down the aisle on the arm of Marcus Vance—who had officially adopted Audrey as his legal daughter six months prior—was Audrey.

As Marcus handed Audrey's hand to Alexander, the two men exchanged a look of profound, mutual respect.
"Take care of my daughter, Alexander," Marcus said softly, his voice thick with emotion.

"I give you my trust, my freedom, and my endless love," Audrey vowed softly, slipping his ring onto his finger. "You held my hand when I was broken, and you walked beside me while I rebuilt my life. I am yours, completely and forever."
"I now pronounce you husband and wife!" the minister declared joyously.
Alexander pulled Audrey into his arms, lifting her softly into a deep, passionate kiss as the sea breeze whipped her veil around them.
The guests—including Sophia, Clara, dozens of friends, doctors, and survivors—erupted into joyful applause and cheers, throwing white rose petals into the air.
Later that night, after a grand dinner filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts, the guests moved down to the beach for a evening bonfire under the stars.
Audrey and Alexander walked along the shoreline, hand in hand, the cool ocean water gently lapping at their bare feet. Audrey wore a comfortable white silk reception dress, her hand resting securely in Alexander’s warm grip.
They stopped at the water's edge, looking out at the endless, glittering expanse of the Pacific Ocean beneath the moonlit sky.
Alexander wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder, holding her close against his chest.
"Are you happy, my love?" Alexander whispered softly against her ear.
Audrey leaned back against his strong chest, looking down at the brilliant sapphire ring on her finger, then up at the infinite stars above.
