Chapter 9 - A New Reign

Six months later.

The Bellmore estate had completely transformed.

The cold, intimidating, oppressive atmosphere of the old mafia headquarters was gone. In its place was a thriving, bustling hub of high-end corporate logistics, humanitarian foundations, and genuine warmth.

Ivy had completely revolutionized the company. Under her direction as Managing Director, Bellmore Global Logistics had severed all ties with illegal underworld rackets, transitioning entirely into legitimate international maritime freight, disaster relief distribution, and green shipping technologies.

Dominic’s syndicate rivals had initially thought he had gone soft. But when two rival families tried to move into Bellmore shipping routes three months ago, Ivy had used her brilliant financial intelligence to bankrupt both families’ shell companies in less than a week—without firing a single bullet.

The underworld quickly learned a terrifying new truth: Dominic Bellmore was dangerous, but Ivy Bennett was brilliant.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, the estate grounds were decorated with thousands of white roses, soft silk drapes, and golden ribbons.

It was the day of the wedding.

In the grand bridal suite on the third floor, Ivy stood in front of a floor-to-ceiling mirror.

She was wearing a custom-designed, off-the-shoulder lace wedding gown that beautifully accented her curvy figure. Her chestnut hair had grown out into a soft, elegant shoulder-length style, framed with delicate diamond clips.

Margaret Doyle stood behind her, tears rolling down her smiling cheeks as she adjusted the long, trailing veil.

"Your grandmother would be so proud of you, Ivy," Margaret said softly, her voice trembling with emotion. "You never lost your dignity. You turned cruelty into your greatest triumph."

Ivy looked at her reflection, touching the soft lace of her dress. She remembered the day her hair was cut on the cold marble floor below. She remembered the feeling of the heavy silver scissors and Vanessa’s cruel laughter.

Now, that memory held no pain. It was simply the moment she had stepped out of the shadows and claimed her true power.

"Thank you, Margaret," Ivy said gently, turning around and taking the elderly woman’s hands. "For always being my family when I had none."

A knock sounded at the door. Captain Vance stepped in, wearing a sharp black tuxedo with a white rose on his lapel.

"It’s time, Miss Ivy," Vance said with a warm, proud smile. "The groom is waiting. And trust me... he looks like he’s about to faint from nervousness."

Ivy laughed softly, a bright, beautiful sound. "Then we shouldn't keep him waiting."

The wedding ceremony took place in the estate’s grand botanical gardens overlooking the ocean.

Seated in the audience were over three hundred guests—not just international business moguls, senators, and shipping captains, but every single employee of the Bellmore estate, sitting in the front rows as honored family guests.

At the altar stood Dominic Bellmore.

He looked extraordinarily handsome in a midnight-blue tuxedo. His hands were clasped tightly in front of him, his dark eyes locked onto the archway at the end of the aisle.

When the music shifted and Ivy appeared, walking down the flower-strewn aisle on the arm of Captain Vance, Dominic’s breath completely caught.

A single tear slid down the hardened face of the mafia boss as he watched his bride walk toward him.

When Vance handed her hand over to Dominic, Dominic gently cupped her cheek, leaning in to whisper, "You are the most breathtaking vision I have ever seen."

May you like

Ivy smiled, her brown eyes shining with absolute love. "And you look very handsome yourself, Mr. Bellmore."

"It’s husband now," Dominic whispered back with a radiant smile.
