Chapter 18 - The Falling of the Dynasty
The courtroom descended into chaos. The recording Ethan provided was the final, devastating blow. It proved systemic child manipulation, extortion, and witness tampering.
The judge banged her gavel repeatedly. "Order! Order in this court!"
Sarah tried to run toward the exit, but bailiffs immediately tackled her to the ground, placing her in handcuffs. Victoria Vance was arrested on the spot for conspiracy and extortion. The video link to my father’s prison showed him slamming his fists against the table before the guard cut the feed. His chance at bail was permanently revoked; new charges were being filed that would ensure he would die behind bars.
The judge looked down at me, her expression softening. "Mr. Marcus. The court apologizes to you and your children. The temporary custody orders are dismissed. Sarah’s parental rights remain permanently terminated, and a lifetime restraining order is issued. Furthermore, the state will be launching an investigation into the parties who aided this conspiracy."
