Chapter 10 - The Harvest of Justice

A year later.

The grand garden of the Coyoacán villa was filled with the sound of laughter, acoustic music, and the chatter of close friends and artists from the Coyoacán gallery district. There were no high-society politicians or snobbish real estate magnates hiding their contempt behind champagne glasses.

Instead, the lawn was filled with people who loved Valeria for her talent, her heart, and her resilience.

Little Mateo, now a walking, curious one-year-old toddler, was currently toddling across the grass, chasing a golden retriever puppy Alejandro had bought him for his birthday.

Valeria stood near a massive oak tree, dressed in a simple, elegant white silk dress, a glass of fresh lemonade in her hand. Her skin was flawless, her sprained ankle completely healed, her posture radiating the calm, undeniable power of a woman who had survived the wolves and returned as the alpha.

Beside her stood Marcus Vance, wearing a casual linen suit, a warm smile on his face. "The final sentencing reports were delivered this morning, Valeria. Doña Esther and Ricardo have both been sentenced to twelve years in a federal penitentiary without the possibility of parole. Marcela received six years for her role in the witness intimidation scheme. Their assets have been permanently liquidated to pay back the Aranda Holdings trust."

Valeria looked down at her glass, feeling no hatred, no anger—only a profound, beautiful sense of peace. "They chose their own prison long before they ever stepped inside a cell, Marcus. They lived in a prison of greed."

Alejandro walked up behind her, wrapping his strong arms around her waist, pulling her back against his chest. He kissed her shoulder, his presence a constant, protective warmth that never left her side.

"What are you looking at, my love?" Alejandro whispered, his gaze following hers to where little Mateo was currently laughing as the puppy licked his face.

"I’m looking at our legacy, Alejandro," Valeria said softly, turning her head to meet his eyes.

The tech mogul, the billionaire who had once lived for the corporate skies, smiled down at his wife—the gallery girl who had saved him from his own blind ambition. He took her hand, lacing his fingers through hers, the solid, honest strength of their love anchoring them to the earth.

The white doors with golden moldings were gone, the secrets were buried under twelve years of federal justice, and in their place, a family built on true devotion had finally blossomed under the warm, golden sun of freedom.
