Chapter 7 - The Financial Execution

“This video is just the beginning, Your Honor,” I said, my voice completely devoid of mercy as the screens transitioned to a massive, complex digital spreadsheet. “Over the last nine years, while residing under witness protection, I utilized my training in forensic accounting to track the liquidity of Harrington Global.”
I pointed to the flashing red numbers on the screen.
“To finance their new cryptocurrency fund, Nathaniel Harrington and Victoria Kensington illegally liquidated the original Harrington-Harper trust fund—a trust that belonged entirely to my late father, which was legally mandated to pass down to my child. They committed international wire fraud, grand larceny, and corporate embezzlement across fourteen offshore accounts in the Cayman Islands and Switzerland.”
Dante stood up from his chair, sliding a massive leather binder to the federal prosecutor sitting nearby.
“Those documents,” Dante added smoothly, “contain the verified bank statements, signed directly by Victoria Kensington using a forged signature of my late father-in-law. The federal authorities have already frozen every single asset belonging to Harrington Global worldwide as of five minutes ago.”
Nathaniel stood up, his face wild and manic, his corporate mask completely shattered. “You b:it*ch!” he screamed, lunging across the aisle toward me. “I built that company! You’re nothing but a—!”
Before he could even cross the path, Dante stepped into his trajectory. With a speed that defied his massive frame, Dante gripped Nathaniel by his throat, lifting the billionaire completely off his feet and slamming him hard against the wooden defense barrier.
“Touch her again,” Dante whispered, his voice so terrifyingly quiet it sent a shiver through the entire gallery, “and I won't wait for the state to finish you.”
Bailiffs and federal marshals swarmed the room instantly, pulling Dante back, though he released Nathaniel willingly, brushing off his suit jacket with an effortless elegance.
Judge Higgins slammed her gavel down with a sound that echoed like a thunderclap.
“Nathaniel Harrington, Victoria Kensington,” the judge declared, her eyes flashing with a righteous fury. “This court hereby revokes your bail immediately. You are being remanded into federal custody to face charges of attempted murder, reckless endangerment, grand larceny, corporate fraud, and international embezzlement. And as for the assets of Harrington Global...”

Judge Higgins looked at me, her expression softening into profound respect. “The court grants emergency injunctive relief, transferring one hundred percent of corporate voting rights and frozen assets to Clara Harrington and her daughter, Aria, effective immediately.”
As the heavy steel handcuffs clicked around Nathaniel and Victoria’s wrists, their cries of desperation filled the room. They were dragged out through the rear exit in chains, their billions gone, their reputation ruined, and their future replaced by a lifetime behind bars.
