Chapter 6 - Closing the Net
With the hidden Atlanta files in his possession, Nathan coordinated a massive legal and financial dragnet. He didn't just want Mrs. Grayson fired; he wanted her completely dismantled, stripped of her wealth, her reputation, and every advantage she had ever used to silence vulnerable families.
He discovered that Mrs. Grayson and her niece, Vanessa, had used their stolen funds to purchase a luxury riverfront condominium in Savannah.
"Lucas," Nathan called his security chief. "Freeze the escrow accounts tied to that condominium under the emergency provisions of the Financial Elder and Dependent Adult Exploitation Act. I want their credit cards canceled, their vehicles repossessed under corporate fraud liens, and their names flagged on every domestic flight manifest."
By that afternoon, Mrs. Grayson was sitting in a high-end French restaurant in Charleston, attempting to pay for a business lunch with a wealthy potential client. The waiter returned, looking uncomfortable.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Grayson, but all your accounts have been flagged as 'Closed due to suspected fraudulent activity.' The police have requested that you remain here."
Panic finally pierced Mrs. Grayson's arrogant shell. She stood up, abandoning her coat, and ran through the kitchen exit into the alleyway, dialing her niece’s number with shaking fingers.

"I can't, Aunt Margaret!" Vanessa shrieked over the line, her voice drowning in the sound of police sirens. "The police are already here at the condo! They have a federal warrant for grand larceny! They're taking everything!"
