Chapter 6 - The Unbreakable Bond

Two weeks passed, transforming the penthouse floor of Vale Memorial into a sanctuary of healing and quiet joy.
Under the best medical care in the country, Nora made a miraculous recovery. Her strength returned, her cheeks regained their healthy pink glow, and the shadow of exhaustion that had haunted her face vanished entirely.
During those fourteen days, the ruthless, workaholic billionaire Adrian Vale ceased to exist.
He handed over the daily management of Vale Global to his trusted executive board, canceling all international travel. Instead, his days were spent sitting on the floor of the hospital suite, learning how to play tea party with Kloe, reading fairy tales, and helping her build elaborate pillow forts across the room.
For the first time in his life, Adrian discovered that signing a billion-dollar merger was nothing compared to the sound of his daughter’s bright, cascading laughter echoing down the hallway.
On a crisp Tuesday afternoon, the hospital door opened, and Marcus walked inside carrying three large leather luggage bags.
"Everything from the temporary residence has been packed, Boss," Marcus reported with a respectful nod. "The estate in Long Island is fully prepared. The nursery team finished setting up Kloe’s room this morning."
Kloe, who was sitting on the floor drawing a picture of a big yellow house with three figures holding hands, jumped up excited. "Dad! Are we going to the big castle today?"
Adrian knelt beside her, picking her up and tossing her gently into the air, making her squeal with delight before catching her securely against his chest.
"We are going home, princess," Adrian smiled.
Nora stepped out of the private dressing room, wearing a soft cream cashmere sweater and slacks that Adrian had ordered for her. She looked stunning, healthy, and serene.
She looked at Adrian holding Kloe, her heart swelling with a warmth she hadn't felt in five long years.
"Are you ready, Nora?" Adrian asked softly, extending his hand to her.

Nora walked over and placed her hand into his. "I'm ready."
They walked out of the hospital together, flanked by Marcus and a private security detail, stepping into a waiting black limousine that whisked them away from the noise of the city toward the quiet, rolling hills of Long Island.
