Chapter 6 - The Viper Unmasked

Forty-eight hours later. The headquarters of Rossi Enterprises in Milan.

The grand glass-and-steel skyscraper was buzzing with media reporters, corporate lawyers, and heavy security. Inside the top-floor executive boardroom, the atmospheric pressure was suffocating.

Marcus Rossi sat at the head of the long mahogany conference table, flanked by his lawyers and Camila’s father, Arthur Vance. Marcus wore a smug, victorious smile as he adjusted his silk tie.

"Members of the board," Marcus announced loudly, tapping his microphone. "As you know, my half-brother Julian has suffered a complete psychological breakdown. His unprovoked attack on Ms. Camila Vance and his sudden disappearance with a disgraced former employee prove he is unfit to lead this multi-billion-dollar corporation. I move for an immediate vote to strip him of his CEO title and transfer controlling shares to me."

"Seconded," Arthur Vance declared instantly.

The board members looked at each other nervously, preparing to cast their votes. Marcus’s smile widened. Victory was within his grasp.

Suddenly, the heavy double doors of the boardroom burst open.

Julian Rossi stepped into the room. He was impeccably dressed in a bespoke charcoal three-piece suit, his posture towering, his eyes burning with absolute, lethal dominance.

The entire room went dead silent.

"A bit early for a victory lap, isn't it, Marcus?" Julian said, his clear, commanding voice echoing off the glass walls.

Marcus’s smile faltered, replaced by a flash of panic. "Julian... you have no standing here! Security, escort him out!"

None of the guards moved. Instead, Anton and four armed officers from the Federal Financial Crimes Unit stepped into the room behind Julian.

"The guards answer to me now, Marcus," Julian said calmly, taking a seat at the far end of the table. He gestured toward the door.

The door opened once more, and Elena walked in. She was dressed in an elegant navy maternity dress, her head held high, looking every bit the proud, magnificent wife of Julian Rossi. Beside her was a senior forensic investigator carrying a sealed briefcase.

Marcus went pale. "What is this mockery?!"

"This is your reckoning," Julian replied coldly.

Julian’s legal team immediately connected a laptop to the boardroom's central display screens.

"What you see on these screens," Julian announced to the stunned board members, "is audio and video footage recovered from Viktor’s encrypted devices, along with bank records proving that Marcus Rossi embezzled fifty million dollars from company accounts to hire mercenaries, bribe hotel staff, and orchestrate the violent abduction and extortion of my pregnant wife."

Audio recordings began playing through the boardroom speakers. Marcus’s unmistakable voice filled the room, clearly detailing his plan to threaten Elena, frame Julian, and forced-merge with the Vance Group.

Camila’s father gasped, stumbling back from the table. "Marcus... you lied to us!"

"Shut up!" Marcus screamed, slamming his hands on the table, his face twisted in desperate rage. He looked at Elena with pure malice. "You stupid bitch... you should have stayed hidden!"

"It's over, Marcus," Elena said softly, looking him dead in the eye without a trace of fear. "You lost."

The federal officers stepped forward, pulling out steel handcuffs.

"Marcus Rossi, you are under arrest for conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping, extortion, and corporate fraud," the lead officer declared, snapping the cuffs tightly onto Marcus’s wrists.

As the police dragged a screaming, cursing Marcus out of the boardroom in front of flashing media cameras, Julian stood up and looked at the stunned board members.
