Chapter 9 - The Legacy Restored

One year later.

The annual Rollins Global Enterprises Shareholder Gala was held at the historic Brown Palace Hotel in Denver.

Over five hundred prominent business leaders, diplomats, investors, and community organizers gathered under the glittering crystal chandeliers of the grand ballroom.

Rollins Global had achieved its highest quarterly revenue in the forty-year history of the company. Our stock price had tripled, our ethical rating had reached the top one percent in the nation, and our philanthropic foundation had provided housing and medical care for over five thousand families across Colorado.

I stood at the podium on the elevated main stage, wearing a stunning floor-length gown of emerald green silk.

Sitting in the front row was my brother Justin, who had flown in from London for the gala. He looked healthy, happy, and relaxed, his eyes bright with pride as he watched me. Beside him sat my father—who, through a plea agreement managed by my legal team, had been granted home confinement and community service due to his failing health, dedicating his remaining years to counseling addiction victims in Denver.

"Three years ago," I said into the microphone, my voice echoing warmly through the vast ballroom, "this company was on the brink of complete moral and financial destruction."

The audience listened in rapt silence.

"We were betrayed by people we loved," I continued. "We were tested by greed, by lies, and by cruelty. But what I learned through that storm is that a family—and a company—is not defined by the mistakes of its past. It is defined by the courage of its present."

I raised my glass of champagne toward the crowd.

"To resilience," I proposed, my smile radiant and bright. "To truth. And to the future we choose to build with our own hands."

The entire room stood up as one, thunderous applause and cheers echoing through the grand palace, shaking the crystal chandeliers above.

Justin stood up from his seat, walking up the stage steps, and pulled me into a fierce, loving embrace.

"I'm so proud of you, Sabrina," Justin whispered into my hair, his voice choking with emotion. "You saved us all."

"We saved each other, Justin," I smiled back, squeezing his shoulders tightly.
