Chapter 10 - The Harvest of Light

Six months later. Spring 2027.

The gardens of Maplewood Manor were in full, glorious bloom. Thousands of red, white, and pink roses filled the air with a sweet, delicate fragrance as a warm afternoon breeze rustled the leaves of the ancient oak trees.

In the center of the estate lawn, a massive white marquee had been set up for a charity gala hosted by the Vance Family Foundation.

Over three hundred guests—diplomats, philanthropists, business leaders, and close friends—were gathered around sunlit tables, drinking champagne and celebrating the foundation’s record-breaking thirty-million-dollar endowment for inner-city education.

I stood on the wide stone terrace of the manor, wearing an exquisite midnight-blue silk evening gown, a delicate diamond necklace sparkling around my throat.

Beside me stood my father, Richard Vance—looking healthy, distinguished, and proud—holding a glass of sparkling water.

"You've done an incredible job, Sienna," my father said softly, looking out at the bustling gala. "Your mother would have been so proud of the woman you've become."

"Thanks to you, Dad," I smiled, leaning my head against his shoulder. "You taught me that true value isn't measured by what you own, but by how you treat others when nobody is watching."

James, the head butler, stepped onto the terrace carrying a tray of champagne glasses.

"Miss Sienna," James said warmly. "The board members are requesting your presence for the opening toast."

"I'll be right there, James," I replied.

Before stepping down into the garden, I paused, turning around to look at the majestic stone facade of Maplewood Manor.

My seven maids stood near the grand entrance, wearing wide, genuine smiles, waving at the guests. The grand brass gates stood wide open, welcoming friends, partners, and community members into a place built on integrity, strength, and real love.

I picked up a glass of champagne, stepped off the stone terrace, and walked down into the sunlit garden toward my future.

The game was over. The false bride was gone.

And Sienna Vance was finally, truly home.
