Chapter 10 - The Sovereign Horizon

Two years later, the Empress of the Seas set sail on its annual Pacific voyage from San Francisco.
The luxury liner was vibrant with life, music, and laughter. But on Deck Eleven, in the private hallway where glass had once been shattered across a gold-patterned carpet, a bronze plaque now hung near the central elevator shaft.
It read: Dedicated to the dignity, strength, and quiet honor of every worker who keeps this vessel moving forward.
In the penthouse suite above, the balcony doors stood wide open to the fresh evening breeze.
Lena stood near the railing, wearing a comfortable silk dress, looking out at the endless expanse of the Pacific Ocean glowing under a vast canopy of stars.
In her arms, she held their four-month-old daughter, Clara—a healthy, beautiful baby with dark hair and bright, curious amber eyes that matched her father’s.
Matteo stepped out onto the balcony behind them, wrapping his broad arms around Lena’s waist, resting his chin gently on her shoulder, looking down at his sleeping daughter.
"She has your quiet strength, Lena," Matteo whispered softly, his hand resting over hers against the baby's blanket.
"She has your determination," Lena smiled, leaning back against his chest, feeling the absolute security of his embrace. "She’s going to run this ship one day."

"She can run whatever she chooses," Matteo murmured, kissing Lena's cheek, then brushing his lips softly over Clara's forehead. "Because she was born into a house built on truth."
Far below them, the ocean waves parted smoothly before the bow of the ship, carrying them forward into a future where no uniform could ever hide a person's worth, no lie could ever destroy love, and the maid who was once forced onto her knees stood forever tall as the sovereign queen of a man's heart.
