The failed raid on the Marchetti estate marked the absolute end of Don Falcone's influence.
Rather than engaging in a bloody, prolonged gang war in the streets, Damian executed a strategy far more devastating to a man like Falcone: total public and legal annihilation.
The following afternoon, Damian convened an emergency press conference at the city's central federal courthouse.
Over fifty journalists, television crews, and legal representatives packed the courtroom gallery.
Damian walked to the podium wearing a tailored charcoal suit, flanked by Maya—who wore an elegant cream blazer—and their lead legal team, while Marco stood guard at the doors.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the press," Damian began, his voice commanding absolute silence across the room. "For fourteen months, the public believed that my late wife, Gina Falcone, gave birth to triplets at St. Jude Memorial Hospital."
The room went entirely quiet, cameras flashing rapidly.
"Today," Damian continued, "we are presenting certified federal DNA evidence, confession statements from Dr. Julian Vance, and hospital audit records proving that those children were stolen at birth from Miss Maya Linwood."
Gasps erupted through the gallery. Journalists began shouting questions frantically.
Maya stepped up to the second microphone, her head held high, her voice clear and unwavering.
"Fourteen months ago, I was told my children died," Maya stated, looking directly into the camera lenses. "I spent over a year drowning in grief while the men responsible used my babies as political bargaining chips. Today, my children are home. And every person involved in this conspiracy—including Don Salvatore Falcone—will face full judicial accountability."
At that exact moment, across town, federal agents and state police vehicles surrounded the Falcone estate.
Don Salvatore Falcone was led out of his home in handcuffs, captured on live television as news anchors broadcast Maya's statement across every major network in the nation.
In the hallway outside the courtroom, Denny—the former manager of Rosalie’s Diner who had fired Maya and mocked her dead children—watched the live broadcast on a wall monitor.
His jaw hung open in absolute terror as he realized the woman he had humiliated was now standing beside the most powerful man in the state, holding millions in seized assets and absolute moral triumph.
Suddenly, Marco stepped up beside Denny in the hallway, tapping him on the shoulder.
Denny jumped, sweating profusely. "I... I didn't know! I swear I didn't know!"
