Chapter 6 - The Unraveling
The entire crowd, accompanied by four live news crews, followed Nathan, Leah, Julian, and the Brooks family up to the second-floor guest suite.
Julian rushed to the wardrobe, pulled open the bottom drawer, and dramatically pulled out the velvet box containing the glowing 'Star of Hope' diamond.
"Ha! Found it!" Julian sneered, holding it up for the cameras. "Leah Hayes is a thief! Arrest her!"
Vanessa smirked at Leah. "Enjoy prison, trash."
Leah didn't flinch. She simply looked at Julian with pity.
"Mr. Vance," Leah said calmly, "can you explain why the security serial number on that velvet box is registered to your personal private vault in Manhattan?"
Julian’s face went completely blank. "What?"
Nathan clicked a button on his remote control. A massive projection screen on the hallway wall lit up, playing 4K footage from the hidden security cameras installed inside Leah's room hours earlier.
The video clearly showed Julian’s hired butler sneaking into the room, pulling the velvet box from his jacket, and hiding it in the drawer.
"And that's not all," Nathan announced.
He pressed another button, broadcasting the high-definition audio recording of Julian, Eleanor, and Vanessa plotting the entire frame-up at the private club the night before.

The ballroom guests gasped in disgust. The news reporters rushed forward, their microphones shoved directly into the faces of the terrified conspirators.
"Julian Vance," Nathan said coldly, "the police are waiting downstairs to arrest you for corporate espionage, grand larceny framing, and fraud."
