Chapter 8 - Exposing the Culprits

The emergency shareholder meeting took place two hours later on the top floor of the Callahan Tower. The atmosphere inside the grand boardroom was thick with tension.
At the head of the mahogany table sat Richard Callahan—a sharp-featured, gray-haired man in his late fifties, wearing an arrogant, dismissive smile.
"Andrew, this emotional spectacle at the press conference was embarrassing," Richard sneered, tossing a pen onto the table. "You’ve compromised the stock, you’ve brought personal drama into the boardroom, and you are unfit to lead. The board is preparing to vote on your removal."
Andrew didn't sit down. Instead, he signaled to Marcus, who walked into the room carrying a thick stack of leather-bound folders, dropping them heavily onto the center of the table.
"You should read those before you take a vote, Richard," Andrew said smoothly, taking a seat at the opposite end of the table.
Richard’s smile faltered slightly. He reached out and opened the top folder. As his eyes scanned the documents, the color drained completely from his face.
"What is this?" Richard stammered, his hand beginning to shake.
"Those are the forensic accounting records from the offshore accounts in the Cayman Islands," Andrew explained calmly, leaning back in his chair. "Along with signed affidavits from the private investigators you paid seven years ago to forge the evidence against Amy Parker. And, most importantly, wiretap recordings from yesterday afternoon where you offered two million dollars to a tabloid editor to print fabricated stories about my daughter."
The other board members immediately leaned forward, grabbing the folders and scanning the evidence with horrified expressions.
"This is embezzlement, blackmail, and corporate espionage," Andrew said, his eyes locking onto his uncle with icy hatred. "The board isn't going to vote on my removal today, Richard. They are going to watch you get arrested."
On cue, the double doors of the boardroom swung open. Four federal agents stepped inside, displaying their badges.

"Richard Callahan," the lead agent declared, "you are under arrest for corporate fraud, wire fraud, and grand larceny. Stand up and put your hands behind your back."
As the handcuffs clicked into place around Richard’s wrists, he looked at Andrew with a mix of fury and despair. Andrew simply watched him go, feeling the bitter weight of seven years of pain finally lift from his shoulders.
