Chapter 19 - The Fall of Vance
Flashing red and blue lights illuminated the rain-slicked docks as federal officers stormed the facility. Vance was led away in handcuffs, his network of bribery and corruption exposed by the mountains of digital evidence Henry had compiled.
Back at the estate, the family reunited. Isabelle held Ethan tightly in her arms, weeping tears of relief, while Richard embraced both of his sons.
The scandal surrounding the foundation dissolved completely as federal prosecutors released the full findings of Vance’s smear campaign. Leo’s name was cleared, and public support for the community shelter surged to unprecedented heights.
Standing on the porch the next morning, Richard watched the sunrise alongside Henry.
