Chapter 21 - The Echo of New Foundations

The sun dipped beneath the western hills, painting the skies over the Westchester estate in rich shades of magenta and violet. On the lawn, six-year-old Ethan ran joyfully, chasing the wooden glider Leo had tuned.
Under the oak tree, Richard Coleman rested his fingers on his chess piece while Henry scanned the perimeter. Peace had settled over the family for a year after Vance’s imprisonment, but Henry’s instincts remained sharp.
"Peace is fragile, Richard," Henry said softly. "Vance was a symptom, not the root. Men like him always have silent partners."
Their conversation was interrupted as Leo walked down the porch steps with a serious expression, holding a tablet. "Dad, we have a crisis with the foundation's international expansion in Geneva. An anonymous corporate entity called Aegis Sovereign Holding filed a legal challenge against our land rights, freezing all permits."
